It is a pleasure to announce that on 19 December 2024 (Thursday), starting at 16:00 in the Space Hall A410, Prof. Dr. Henk Hoekstra will give a lecture on the topic “Designing a weak lensing experiment from space”.
Henk Hoekstra is a professor at Leiden Observatory in the Netherlands. His main area of research is observational cosmology, with a particular focus on the study of dark matter and dark energy using weak gravitational lensing. Since 2011 he is a cosmology coordinator for Euclid, the ESA mission to study the nature of dark energy and many other aspects of our current cosmological paradigm.
All students and educators from the Faculty of Physics are invited. The lecture will be held in English.
