On March 7, 2025, at the 9-th General Assembly of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) in Brussels, there was voted to accept Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” for a full member. At the assembly, before the vote, Assoc. prof. Plamen Petkov from the Faculty of Physics presented a review of the educational bachelor’s and master’s programs of the university related to the nuclear field. Attention was also paid to the presentation of the most innovative master’s program “Nuclear Technologies, Management and Innovations” (NTMI), which was not only created as a result of the cooperation between two faculties, but also subsequently was accredited by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the International Nuclear Management Academy (INMA). Currently, the NTMI programme is managed by a team, consisting of Assoc. Petkov, Prof. Georgi Rainovski, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Assoc. Atanas, Dean of the Faculty of Economics. The acceptance of SU “St. Kliment Ohridski” in this prestigious international educational network is a great recognition of the efforts of the managements of the two faculties not only to preserve nuclear knowledge, but also to ensure its future development.
