EVOLUTION OF US CIVIL LIGHT WATER NUCLEAR TECHNOLOGY: THE DEVELOPMENT OF PASSIVE PLANTS
Please plan to join us for an engaging lecture on the evolution of US civil light water nuclear technology and the development of passive plants. During this lecture, the history of light water reactor development in the United States will be reviewed from the first commercial pressurized water reactor, “Shippingport” commissioned in 1957, to the latest Generation III+ designs. The reasons behind the evolution of the technology will be reviewed to explain the most significant changes in approach.
